These materials must be brought to the class by each student:

 | Notebook Computer meeting the following minimum
requirements:
 | Pentium IV CPU |
 | Windows XP or Windows 2000 OS
(Student must have
administrative rights allowing them to install software and write to
the Windows Registry on the notebook PC. Please contact your
Information Services department to ensure that you have been given
these rights.) |
 | 512 MB of RAM |

 | 800x600 screen resolution |
 | Mouse, touch-pad, or similar pointing device.
(An
external mouse is highly recommended. It will greatly increase your

 | Note: This course does not teach you how to operate your
laptop computer.
The student must be familiar with setting up and operating the
notebook PC that he/she brings to the class. Please familiarize
yourself with the keyboard, mouse, power supply, etc. so that you
will be prepared for the training. |

Day One:

 | Define and explain the entities associated with TMS, such as
Activities, Modules, Sessions, Persons, Employees, Instructors, Students,
Subjects, Presenters, and more. Illustrate how they interact to provide
power and flexibility in TMS. |
 | Explain the numerous data enhancements including, but certainly not
limited to:
 | Unlimited Addresses, Phones, Email Addresses |
 | Link to Photos and Documents. Edit these from within TMS. |
 | Employee History Table |
 | Certifications for Employees, Activities, Modules, Students,
Presenters, Subjects and more |
 | Training Plan enhancements with support for countless training
requirement provisions, including POST Perishable Skills (PST) and
Continuing Professional Training (CPT) requirements |

 | Install TMS Millennium on student PC's for use in the "Hands-On"
training on Day 2. |
 | Take students through a hands-on "Test Drive" of TMS Millennium. |
 | Discover the new "Data Explorer" interface and learn how this new
design helps to organize the new TMS entities, making their relationships
easier to understand. Learn how to navigate through the "Data Tree" to
locate and edit the data you need. |
 | Illustrate the new productivity enhancements like "Quickfill" fields,
"Wildcard" fields, "Add-on-the-Fly" lookups, right-click time savers, and
date field shortcuts. |
 | Explore the Report Selector to access reporting enhancements provided
by inclusion of the Crystal Reports reporting engine. |

Day Two:
|
This is a hands-on "Bring Your
Own Laptop" training session. All students are to bring a notebook computer
on which the TMS Millennium program will be installed on Day 1. Students
will follow along in our "day in the life of a Training Manager" as we:

 | Assign the Employee to Training Plan Groups and Certification
Organizations |
 | Add Address, Phone, Email information for the Person |
 | Add Emergency Contact information for the Person |
 | Link the Person to his Photo |
 | Link the Person to a Document |

 | Schedule a simple single-subject Training Activity
 | Add a new Subject "on-the-fly" |
 | Schedule a Person for the training. |
 | Send a Training Memo |

 | Schedule a complex Training Activity
 | Add multiple Modules and Sessions |
 | Add multiple Addresses associated with the Presenter |
 | Link these to the appropriate Sessions |
 | Schedule a group of Persons for a Module |
 | Copy the Students from one Module to another |
